USC's Caleb Williams Serves Up NIL Deal to His Offensive Line
Despite a disappointing two-loss skid, followed by a last-minute comeback win versus heavy underdog Cal Berkley, defending Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams continues to rack up impactful NIL deals.
From national TV commercials with Wendy's, Nissan and Dr. Pepper to sitting court-side at a Lakers game, the USC signal-caller remains the most visible college athlete today and expected top NFL draft selection in the spring, regardless of how the Trojans fare on the field.
His latest partnership with Postmates - similar to past deals with Beats by Dre and Ac+ion Water - shares the NIL wealth with his teammates, especially honoring those who protect him most.
The food delivery service's latest campaign highlights a new "no fee" promotion for college students and stars Williams alongside his starting offensive lineman Justin Dedich, Jarrett Kingston, Jonah Monheim, Emmanuel Pregnon and Michael Tarquin, who collectively order 18 burritos in the video.
Williams previously treated his big guys up front - through his partnership with Ac+ion Water - to a New York City trip for the Heisman Trophy ceremony last year.
This Postmates partnership for the Trojans was facilitated by star-studded collective The TOMMY Group, led by USC and NFL legend Keyshawn Johnson, The h.wood Group Co-Founder John Terzian, renowned artist manager Dave Stromberg and entrepreneurs Alex Holmes, Avi Chesed and Michael Hahn.
Postmates first promoted their "no fee" offering with UCLA backup quarterback Chase Griffin, who has dominated the NIL space over the past two years. Following Williams and his offense line announcing their partnership last week, Texas quarterback Maalik Murphy got into the delivery service action as well.
With a 7-2 record heading into a challenging stretch - vs. Washington, at Oregon and vs. UCLA - to end the season, Williams and the Trojans have their work cut out for them. At least the offense will be well fed with a few extra dollars in their pockets through this deal and promotion.
