
NHL releases architectural rendering of 2015 Stadium Series
The NHL on Thursday released an architectural rendering of the 2015 NHL Stadium Series design.
The San Jose Sharks and the Los Angeles Kings will face off in this year's iteration of the outdoor match in Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, just outside of San Jose, California.
According to the league, the event will pay tribute to Northern California's diverse environmental and geographical features, as the Sharks and Kings square off in a Northern California vs. Southern California rivalry game.

The league's mobile ice making and monitoring unit arrived in Santa Clara on Monday, after a trip from Toronto that required detours to avoid snowstorms. Assembly work on the rink inside Levi's Stadium began on Monday, with league officials saying the ice was hoped to be ready for skaters by Feb. 17.
San Jose, with a 28-20-8 record, is currently sixth in the Western Conference. Los Angeles, at 23-18-12 so far this season, is tenth.

The game will be shown live across the country at 10 p.m. ET on Feb. 21.
