The Las Vegas Raiders need to add depth across the entire offensive line, and with the amount of talent at the 2023 NFL Draft; the team might reach out for the draft to stock up.

The Silver and Black have shuffled different players at the right tackle position. Over the last few seasons, Raiders’ General Managers have missed out on finding a long-term placement in that important position.

Now Raiders General Manager Dave Ziegler has the opportunity to bring in someone who could develop into the anchor of the offensive line for years to come.

Tackle Jaelyn Duncan, Maryland Terrapins

“A stellar mover with dominant power in a massive frame, Jaelyn Duncan’s pure athleticism may rival that of any prospect in the 2023 NFL Draft class,” Draft Bible said of Duncan.

At 6-6 and 306 pounds, Duncan comes in as an offensive lineman with a first-round grade slipping down to the second draft day.

Duncan took a toll last season, allowing seven sacks, four hits, and 17 hurries.

His potential is high, and the ceiling of what he could become is up to the coaching staff.

Having only begun to play football in high school, Duncan has shown quick development through the four years of college football and is looking forward to taking the next step in the NFL.

According to Pro Football Focus, Duncan played 1,939 career snaps at the left tackle position and a single snap at left guard. Still, his potential looks brighter playing in the interior of the offensive line.

“He can play four of the five offensive line positions and flashes solid technique. That said, Duncan’s high pad level, raw hand usage, and inconsistent angles will limit him early in his career. He is an early backup with elite potential,” Draft Bible added.

Duncan struggled a bit during the Reese’s Senior Bowl but showcased great times during the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine, so it will be up to the coaching staff to bring out his true potential.

His versatility is a plus for the Raiders, who were moving players around the offensive line while figuring out the best five players to start up front.

Overall, the Raiders might find someone who could mold into a starter and eventually an anchor on the offensive line.

The NFL Draft will occur at Union Station in Kansas City, Mo., from Thursday, April 27 to Saturday, April 29. ESPN, ABC, and NFL Network will broadcast all seven rounds.

The 2023 NFL Year and Free Agency period begins at 4 p.m. EDT on March 15. The Raiders are expected to be significant players in the free-agent market this season.
