Cowboys WATCH: Trevon Diggs Backyard Battle vs. Bills Brother Stefon
It's never too early for families to start preparing for the holidays ... even if they have to work.
Dallas Cowboys secondary defender Trevon Diggs and his receiver brother Stefon gave an intriguing preview of what's to come this winter, as the duo's unofficial matchup, staged in one sibling's backyard, was shared by the NFL's official social media accounts leading into the weekend.
Two passes are shared in the official video. Stefon earned a grab on a curl route in the first toss while Trevon knocks down the latter, indirectly adding to his total of 14 pass breakups from last season. Fans of Trevon's Cowboys and Stefon's Buffalo Bills support their respective star in the comment section, many appreciative of any kind of football action in a rare lull on the NFL calendar.
The offseason showdown is an intriguing sign of what's to come: Trevon will likely try to be his brother's keeper when the Cowboys battle the Bills on Dec. 17, a matchup revealed in the recent NFL schedule release. It's one that will serve as the potential headliner of Week 15's late afternoon action, one that will pit two frequent playoff contenders against each other.
In addition, the Cowboys coming battle with the Bills will mark the first time that the Diggs brothers do battle in the regular season, as Dallas and Buffalo have not faced off since November 2019 (one season before Trevon's Dallas debut). Low-stakes matchups have defined the prior Diggs family civil wars: in addition to their backyard battles, the two have also faced off during the NFL's Pro Bowl festivities.
