Antonio Gates will always go down as an AFC West legend. He's easily one of the top Chargers of all time, and a lot of people would put him on their top tight ends of all time. So when one great tight end retires, another fills his spot. That spot has definitely been filled up by an AFC West rival who is inching closer to passing Gates on the all-time tight end receiving yards list.
If there's one thing that Mike Williams knows how to do, it's compete. He went to Clemson from 2013 to 2015, so he's been around his fair share of national championship contending teams. So it's a good sign that Williams is comparing the Chargers' mindset this year to that of Clemson's in the year they won the championship.
