Chargers News: Writer Unpacks How Titans Stumped Bolts in Week 2

Let's go over this one last time

The Los Angeles Chargers are searching for their first win of the season and look to do so tomorrow against the Minnesota Vikings. Both teams are eager to get in the win column, with both teams losing back-to-back nail-biters.

The Chargers have a ton of cleaning up on all facets of the game, but before we settle into Sudnay's matchup, we'll dive into their Week 2 loss one last time and see exactly what went wrong.

The Chargers dropped their second game in a row to Tennessee in overtime, 27-24. LA had a chance to win the game in the late fourth quarter but was held to a field goal that took the game into OT.

The Chargers offense looked good once again, but the Tennessee defnese was better. As Tyler Rowland from All Titans said, the Titans had a brilliant defensive strategy against the Chargers. They used tricky coverages and made things hard to predict. This helped their pass rushers do well and allowed them to stop the Chargers on critical third downs, getting them off the field.

Titans DC Shane Bowen did his homework. On the outside looking in, Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen had a huge game, but it didn't affect the entire game.

The Titans still managed to stuff the run game, holding LA to 61 yards, and outside of Allen, no one was a severe threat in the passing game.

The Tennesse disguise was masterful. LA must take that and make sure the Vikings don't do the same to them. The Bolts will be without their star running back, Austin Ekeler, for the second straight week, which means others need to step up, particularly in the run game and pass catchers other than Keenan.

You win some, and you lose some; however, LA can't afford to lose this one, and they'll make sure of it.

Sit down, relax (or not) for a must-win Week 3 battle.
