The Los Angeles Chargers hold the 5th overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, giving them an avenue to select a dynamic player who can help turn things around. Los Angeles finished the 2023 season with a disappointing 5-12 record, leading to the organization firing former head coach Brandon Staley.

They brought in Jim Harbaugh to take his place, giving the Bolts a sense of excitement heading into the offseason. Harbaugh has been a winner wherever he has gone through his coaching days, and the Bolts are excited to see where he can take them.

Many people have speculated that the Chargers would select an offensive lineman or wide receiver with their first-round pick. Either position would give the Bolts another tool to use on the offensive end of the field.

Pro Football Focus put out a four-round mock draft for the Bolts, giving them a truly special wide receiver talent. That would be receiver Malik Nabers from LSU, who very well could be the next great wideout from the Tigers in the NFL.

Nabers was special for the Tigers last season, putting up 89 catches for 1,569 yards and 14 scores. He is the best wide receiver in the draft class and would completely change the Chargers offense.

Paired alongside Keenan Allen, the Bolts' offense would be explosive and scare opponents. Quarterback Justin Herbert would love this pick, giving him another explosive weapon to use around the field.

Nabers was arguably the best wide receiver in college football a year ago, and the Chargers should absolutely consider him with the pick. Landing him would change the offense for years and be a great start to the Harbaugh regime.
