WATCH: Buccaneers’ Rookie Wide Receiver Makes Spectacular Touchdown Grab Against Saints
The Buccaneers capped off the first half with a great sequence on defense and then offense.
Tampa Bay made a stand inside the 10-yard line as safety Antoine Winfield Jr. forced and recovered a Saints fumble to get the ball back on New Orleans' 6-yard line with under a minute remaining in the second quarter.

Winfield now has two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries this season. He set up the Buccaneers offense in perfect position to go up two scores and they made the most of it.
Baker Mayfield then found rookie Trey Palmer in the corner of the end zone with an excellent throw and even better catch to extend the lead.
Mayfield threw for two touchdowns in the first half and put the Buccaneers up 14-3 over the Saints.
Palmer, a 6th-round pick from Nebraska had an excellent preseason, scoring two touchdowns and making the 53-man roster.

He also scored a touchdown in the Buccaneers' Week 1 win against the Vikings.
Palmer entered the game with Mike Evans dealing with a hamstring injury and missing the end of the first half. Evans is expected to miss the remainder of the game so expect the rookie to continue earning more playing time.
He's caught two passes for six yards and his lone score thus far in the game with the Buccaneers leading in the second half.
