Chris Paul Compares Draymond Green to NBA Legend

Chris Paul is excited to play with Draymond Green

Chris Paul has had his share of battles with the Golden State Warriors. From his time with Lob City, to his time with the Houston Rockets, and even some moments on the Phoenix Suns. After so many battles, Paul believes there's a huge mutual respect between his new teammates.

Chris Paul spoke with Warriors media where he talked about the mutual respect he has for Steph Curry and Klay Thompson after so many battles.

"There's always a respect there, too, when you compete like that against guys," Paul said. "Obviously, fans always want the insight... Klay, for all those years I would be running around chasing Steph, Klay would be guarding me. There's a respect there, me and Klay talk when we play."

When it came to Draymond Green, Chris Paul had an even higher level of respect. Paul revealed that he views Draymond Green similar to how he views Kevin Garnett - the one player he wishes he teamed up with.

"I think Draymond is sort of like, I always say who is one player that I didn't get to play with that I wish I would have, I always say Kevin Garnett," Paul said. "It's because, the first three times I ever played against KG, we both got double techs. We was about to fight every time, it was because he was like-minded like me. I think that's the way with Draymond. I know he competes, just like I do, it's going to be definitely dope to see us now as teammates."

While there will never be another Kevin Garnett, someone who played with more intensity than almost anyone in the history of basketball, Draymond Green is the modern-day version of him.
