Anthony Edwards Slams Report of Steve Kerr Benching

Anthony Edwards defended Steve Kerr and blasted the report.

It's safe to say that Anthony Edwards does not like the media. If he didn't like them before, he certainly doesn't now.

Just a few days ago, there was a report of Anthony Edwards making a very candid statement to Steve Kerr about being benched on Team USA. It turns out, Edwards says it wasn't a statement he made to Steve Kerr, but just what he was thinking in his head.

"Y'all losers beat it man," Edwards said. "Y'all taking that little comment too far. I didn't even say that to Steve Kerr, I was thinking that when he said I was coming off the bench. Y'all doing too much, y'all going too far, that's my dog man, Steve Kerr locked in. We talk every day. I hate y'all. Y'all always doing that. Just interview a n**ga and go on about your business. Y'all some losers man, beat it."

Moments like these are why so many NBA players dislike the media. When they make a statement in one interview, it gets transcribed and aggregated the wrong way by a major aggregator, and then it spreads like wildfire across all other media outlets. It's an unfortunate product of the modern media machine, and it's resulted in a lot of separation between players and media. More than ever, there's a natural distrust between NBA players and even their beat writers who typically would have a high trust factor.
