The Golden State Warriors are set to face the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday, but the status of star guard Anthony Edwards is uncertain. The Timberwolves have released their injury report for this game, and Edwards is being listed as questionable with a left middle finger
dislocation/sprain.
Edwards suffered this injury on his monster dunk over John Collins, but has not needed to miss any time. Because of this, it seems reasonable to assume that Edwards will play, but his official status is questionable.
The Warriors have failed to take advantage of several opportunities to move up in the Western Conference standings, so what once felt like a possible late-season push up the standings now feels like a late-season attempt to hold onto the 10th seed. The Houston Rockets are in pursuit of Golden State's spot in the play-in tournament right now, and are playing like a team that deserves it.
Golden State still has the edge over Houston right now, but they have a tough stretch of games ahead, and will have to find a way to get some wins in order to hold off the red hot Rockets. This one against Minnesota will be tough for Golden State, but it is also a possible first round matchup if the Warriors are somehow able to come out of the play-in tournament.
