NBA Legend Makes Controversial Steph Curry Statement
What would another Golden State Warriors title do for Steph Curry?
The Golden State Warriors are fighting to finish the season strong. While escaping the play-in tournament is likely no longer in play for Golden State, just holding onto the 10th spot gives them a chance at earning a first round series.
With a superstar like Steph Curry, Golden State's goal will always be a championship. This roster looks to be far from a true contender, but if Curry were to do the impossible with this group, it would ascend him even further up the all-time ranks.
During a recent episode of All Facts No Brakes, NBA legend Paul Pierce said another title would make Curry top-five all-time:
This was a controversial statement from Pierce, but one that has to be considered. Already considered by most to be a top-10 player all-time, another title for Curry - specifically with this underwhelming group, would undoubtedly move him up the all-time ranks.
Whether or not a title with this group would move Curry all the way to top-five is something to debate, but even making a deep run with this roster would be impressive for Golden State's star point guard. Without a consistent second option for most of the season, Curry has needed to carry a heavy offensive burden for this team. This will have to continue for Golden State to make any noise in the postseason.
