Suns Reveal Jusuf Nurkic's Final Status vs Wolves
Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic was originally questionable tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns will have Jusuf Nurkic tonight when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves. Suns coach Frank Vogel was asked about Nurkic in his pre-game press conference but deemed him a game-time decision before ultimately giving him the green light.
Nurkic was initially ruled questionable with calf soreness. Nurkic played 32 minutes on Wednesday and scored just two points to pair with ten rebounds and six assists. He's started more games than anybody on Phoenix's roster.
Entering Friday, Nurkic is averaging 11.2 points, 11 rebounds and 3.8 assists on 51.1% shooting. He posted a 19-19 double double against the Pelicans last weekend. Nurkic ranks No. 7 in rebounds per night across the league.
Grayson Allen was listed as probable with hip soreness and will play. Damion Lee still remains out with his meniscus tear.
The Suns hope to slow down the Timberwolves, who are still without Karl-Anthony Towns but will be returning Mike Conley to the lineup tonight. Minnesota boasts the best record in the West while Phoenix has possession of the No. 6 seed with just a few games to go.
Opening tip between the two sides is set for 7:00 PM Arizona time.
