Nikola Jokic's Final Status vs. Phoenix Suns Revealed
The Denver Nuggets are set to begin their preseason vs. the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night, and while Phoenix will be without their star players, the Nuggets will have Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray available. Murray had previously been considered questionable, but he is now good to go for the Nuggets in addition to Jokic.
For Jokic, he is healthy and available, which will give fans their first look at the reigning Finals MVP since the NBA Finals. While it's just the preseason, this is an exciting time for the Nuggets and their fans, as the celebration from the summer has ended and it's now time for the title defense to begin for Denver.
It's possible that Jokic and the Nuggets could start a little slow this season after their offseason was very short. Not only did Denver not have as much time this summer as in years past, but they also spent a lot of that time celebrating their championship. While this is very understandable, it could lead to a bit of a longer ramp up period for some of the players who did not have their usual offseason routine.
For Jokic, he will likely play limited minutes in this preseason opener, but it's good to see him available and back on the court after such an exciting summer for Denver.
