After news dropped that Darvin Ham expects reserve Los Angeles Lakers center Mo Bamba to return to the hardwood in time for Game 4 tomorrow, absolutely no one in the world believed that Bamba's health would change the ultimate fate of LA in this series.

The Ringer's Kevin O'Connor, long a Bamba advocate despite Bamba continuing to disappoint through his first five NBA seasons, finally went all-in on some expert Bamba trolling, clowning the news on Twitter:

The Lakers are 0-3 in their ongoing Western Conference Finals series against the Denver Nuggets. Never in 149 prior such instances has a team rallied all the way back from that level of deficit in a best-of-seven series.

Mo Bamba isn't even part of LA's rotation when healthy. His return will not move the needle one inch in the Lakers' favor.

Bamba has been one of a few disappointing new Los Angeles additions in these playoffs, along with sharpshooter Malik Beasley (whose offense completely abandoned him) and, to a lesser extent, D'Angelo Russell. D-Lo has been a brutal disappointment in these Conference Finals, though he had been a key contributor in the prior two rounds of the playoffs.

Los Angeles has pricey team options on Bamba and Beasley that it appears very unlikely to pick up for 2023-24 after these playoffs. But they'll certainly need all hands on deck to at least avoid a Denver sweep on Monday.
