Lakers News: LeBron James' Burgeoning Entertainment Empire Chalks Up Another Win

He continues to build his legacy outside of basketball!

Los Angeles Lakers' superstar has been very satisfied this summer as he has sat back and watched GM Rob Pelinka and the rest of LA's front office make some serviceable free agency moves to keep the main core of last year's roster while also making some great additions. He has been able to vacation with his family, coach his younger son Bryce in Peach Jam and continue his many business ventures.

And let's not forget that Springhill Company, owned by LeBron James and Maverick Carter, just released 'Shooting Stars' a couple of months ago which showcased the story of The King during his infamous high school career as St. Vincent-St. Mary High School with four of his closest friends.

The film was released exclusively on Peacock and it has been doing quite well as many fans are tuning in to see how Springhill's creative team put the vision together.

"Since its June 2 premiere, Shooting Stars has remained the #1 original film every weekend on Peacock. Specific viewership data for the film isn’t available. Peacock currently streams nine original films, including Praise This, They/Them, Meet Cute, and Sick. Directed by Chris Robinson and based on the book by LeBron James and Buzz Bissinger, Shooting Stars is the origin story of a basketball superhero, revealing how James and his childhood friends become the No. 1 high school team in the country, launching James’ breathtaking career as a four-time NBA champion, two-time Olympic gold medalist and the NBA’s all-time leading scorer."

These types of films show that LeBron James is still learning how to grow his brand outside of basketball and use his resources to change the lives of others. He made sure to give back to the basketball community by having some young stars within the high school system star in 'Shooting Stars.

We cannot wait to see what else he does in his movies and overall business career.
