Former Kings G League Player Arrested for Murder, Human Remains Found

Chance Comanche and his girlfriend were arrested in connection to the disappearance of Marayna Rodgers.

The former Sacramento Kings G League player Chance Comanche was arrested by the FBI in Sacramento County on Friday, December 15 with unknown charges and released from the team on the same day. As of December 17, the charges have been updated to murder charges.

Comanche, 27, and his girlfriend Sakari Harnden, 19, were both arrested on kidnapping charges as the primary suspects in the disappearance of 23-year-old Marayna Rodgers. On Sunday, police discovered human remains belonging to Rodgers in the desert area of Henderson, Nevada, according to a release from the Las Vegas Metro Police Department.

Rodgers had a pre-arranged meeting on December 5 with her friend, Harnden, and Comanche. Since that night, she had been missing. Harnden was arrested in Las Vegas on December 13, with Comanche arrested in the Sacramento area two days later. Comanche is pending extradition from Sacramento County to Las Vegas. The two have been determined to be responsible for the murder of Rodgers by LVMPD detectives.

Comanche has played for the Kings G League affiliate Stockton Kings for the past two seasons. The team was in Las Vegas on December 5 to play the G League Ignite.
