What to watch for: Utah Jazz vs Boston Celtics

Donovan Mitchell's near triple-double led the Utah Jazz to a 103-95 victory over the Indiana Pacers this past Sunday. The win over the Pacers concluded the road-trip sweep as the Jazz return home to take on the Boston Celtics on February 9, 2021 at 8pm on TNT.
Jazz vs Celtics Throwback:
The Jazz have beaten the Celtics in four of the last six times these two teams have met. Although Utah holds the current winning streak, Boston holds the all-time edge with a 58-42 victory advantage.
March 6, 2020 was the last time these two teams squared off, finishing in a 99-94 Jazz win. During that game, Mike Conley led the way with 25-points while Joe Ingles dished off 6-assists.
Key Players:
Donovan Mitchell (45) with a layup against the Celtics
Each time that Donovan Mitchell and Jayson Tatum play against each other, there is bound to be fireworks. Both players were drafted by their respective teams in 2017 and have quickly risen the ranks of stardom.
Although they won't necessarily be guarding each other on Tuesday night, look for these two to be crucial in their teams successes.
Mitchell is coming off of a 27-point, 11-assist showcase against the Indiana Pacers on Sunday. He currently leads the Jazz in scoring, averaging 23.5 points per game, and is second on the team in assists, averaging 4.9 per game.
Tatum is also having a standout year, leading the Celtics with an average of 27 points per game. He is currently second on the team in both rebounds per game (7.1) and assists per game (4.1). Tatum is coming off of a 23-point, 7-assist night against the Phoenix Suns.
Fun Facts:
The Jazz will wear their all-white uniforms against the Celtics on Tuesday night. Utah will break out the association jerseys for the eleventh time this year, sporting an 8-2 record in the classic whites. The Jazz currently hold a seven-game winning streak when wearing these uniforms with their last win coming over the Pacers on Sunday.
Mike Conley has been ruled out for the second game in a row after heading to the locker room with right hamstring tightness against the Charlotte Hornets. He is currently listed as day-to-day on ESPN.
Utah’s 19-5 record continues to hold strong as the top record in the NBA. The Jazz hold a half-game lead over the Los Angeles Lakers in the west, and a two-game lead over the 76ers in the east.
The Celtics are 2-2 in their four games last week. Their victories came over the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers. Boston also fell at the hands of the Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns.
