Summary

The Atlanta Hawks continued to play hard against the Boston Celtics during Tuesday night's Game Two matchup. However, Atlanta's best effort was met with superior play. Boston defeated Atlanta 119-106 to take a 2-0 series lead.

Picking up where they left off in Game One, Atlanta jumped out to an 11-point lead early in the first quarter. Boston came roaring back with a series of fastbreaks built upon transition defensive stops to take a 61-49 lead into halftime.

Atlanta hung tough in the second half but could never get within arms' reach of Boston. Once again, Boston's perimeter players dominated the game. Jayson Tatum and Derrick White scored 29 and 26 points, respectively.

Trae Young and Dejoute Murray led Atlanta but lacked efficiency. John Collins and Clint Capela provided little production. Luckily, De'Andre Hunter returned to form with 18 points and 12 rebounds - one of the few bright spots of the night for the Hawks.

With the first two games in the books, the series shifts to Atlanta. Games Three and Four are scheduled for Friday and Sunday night in State Farm Arena.
