Philadelphia 76ers Expected to Pursue LA Clippers Star

The Philadelphia 76ers want to add a major name.

One of the things to look out for this off-season is the contract extension of Paul George. While George is expected to re-sign with the Clippers, championship-contending teams like the Philadelphia 76ers are expected to pursue him if those negotiations fail.

According to a report from Chris Haynes, the Philadelphia 76ers will aggressively pursue Paul George if he does not get an extension done with the LA Clippers. Attached is the exact statement from Chris Haynes.

"If Paul George and the Clippers are unable to get an extension done, look for the 76ers to be very aggressive in trying to pursue him in the offseason," Haynes said. "Paul George would definitely be a target of the Philadelphia 76ers if [he] is not able to get an extension done with the Clippers. Everybody expects Paul George and the Clippers to get something done—again, they want to go in that new arena with their full core intact, but if not, watch out for the 76ers, they're not done."

With how great the LA Clippers are performing and the commitment Kawhi Leonard has already made, one should highly expect Paul George to re-sign with the Clippers. It's very clear that the trio of Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and James Harden want to keep their partnership alive for as long as possible. The only way this could change this season is if the Clippers have a very abrupt and embarrassing first-round exit.

We are still four months away from the NBA off-season, so for now, Clippers fans should just enjoy the ride of being one of the best teams in the NBA.
