Paul George Named Possible Golden State Warriors Target

The Golden State Warriors have a dream list.

Even though the Golden State Warriors didn't make any major moves during the trade deadline, it doesn't mean they don't have major moves in mind. In fact, they're eyeing one major superstar to join Steph Curry during the off-season - Paul George.

In a new report by Sam Amick of The Athletic, the Golden State Warriors have plans to target either LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Paul George, or Kevin Durant. All of this is based off of different scenarios, but they would certainly target Paul George if he doesn't re-sign with the LA Clippers in the offseason. Here is the exact excerpt from Amick's article.

"The Warriors’ lead decision makers still believe Curry’s longevity gives them a couple more seasons of possible contention, if the roster around him is up to it. If there’s a path to LeBron, or Giannis Antetokounmpo (their dream scenario), or impending free agent Paul George or a reunion with Kevin Durant, they will explore it."

If there's one player that will be capable of recruiting another superstar, it's going to be Steph Curry. However, all of these targets for the Golden State Warriors rely entirely on how the playoffs shake out. It's hard to see Paul George leave the Clippers if they make a lengthy playoff run, and the same goes for Giannis or Kevin Durant.

One thing is for sure though, the Golden State Warriors will want to make some noise this offseason.
