LA Clippers Star Reacts to Anthony Edwards Calling Them Old

Anthony Edwards loves calling the Clippers old.

The LA Clippers are one of the best teams in the NBA, but that isn't stopping Anthony Edwards from trash-talking them. Game after game, Edwards loves calling Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and the Clippers old. While Kawhi didn't have much to say about it, George opened up a bit about it.

During the media session of the 2024 NBA All-Star game, Paul George was asked about teaming up with Anthony Edwards but made sure to mention that Edwards keeps calling him old.

"He been calling us old," George said. "We’ve been getting the old claims a lot of times now. You know, it's fun. I've always said All-Star weekend, Ant's one of my favorite personalities and people to be teamed up with. So much personality, so fun and youthful. So, he definitely makes this time that much more enjoyable. But it's going to be fun, looking forward to it."

Whenever a younger player teams up with Patrick Beverley, much of his personality gets imprinted on that younger team, and it's very clear he helped form Anthony Edward's competitive personality. The comments that Edwards makes aren't as out of pocket as other players and are mainly in the spirit of competition. That's why players like Paul George call playing against him a fun experience. However, the Minnesota Timberwolves have to hope they don't flame out in the playoffs this year, otherwise that trash talk will start looking a bit different.
