Rajon Rondo is one of the greatest basketball minds and passers in the history of the NBA. After a career that has spanned 19 seasons, the NBA great is finally calling his career a wrap.
Rondo was a guest on the All the Smoke Podcast, where he revealed that he's officially retired from the NBA. While on the show, he made a statement on his career.
"I'm done," Rondo said. "I'd rather spend time with my kids... what a time. It was definitely soemthing that I would never took for granted while I was in the game. I loved every minute of it. I appreciate the brotherhood that I was able to share and bond and grow with over the years. It's made the man who I am today."
Rajon Rondo spent a few seasons of his career in LA, most notably winning a championship with the Los Angeles Lakers. He then played with the LA Clippers, where he was with the team during its first-ever Western Conference Finals Run. Rondo didn't quite pan out to what the Clippers needed him to be in the playoffs, but he had his moments in the regular season.
Rajon Rondo is a farcry from what the modern NBA point guard has become. He's arguably one of the last traditional passing point guards the league will ever see.
