Cavs Insider Podcast: Is it Even News?

Spencer German and Tommy Wild return with the latest episode of the Cavs Insider Podcast, and this week there is plenty to talk about.

First, the story that will follow the Cleveland Cavaliers all season – will Donovan Mitchell re-sign with the wine and gold? – is already popping up in NBA Headlines. Spencer wonders if it's even news at this point, with Cavs fans already preparing for Mitchell's eventual departure from Cleveland. Could a productive season actually sell him on staying?

Later, Cavaliers general manager, Koby Altman found himself at the center of an off-the-court scandal, following his arrest for an OVI. Spencer and Tommy get into why they don't expect the situation to become a distraction for the wine and gold. 

And then, it's a reunion for the Cavs and legendary center, Tristan Thompson, who the team signed last week. While the guys believe there's still something left in the tank for the 2016 NBA Champion, they also temper expectations for the fan base, making it clear some renaissance season is unlikely. They also ponder whether or not Thompson is worthy enough of having his jersey number retired to the rafters of Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. Would you want to see his jersey retired one day?
