Padres Notes: Blake Snell Update, Starting Rotation Problems and More
One of the biggest free agents from this offseason is still available as Spring Training continues on. Starting pitcher Blake Snell remains unsigned as we get more into the month of March.
The New York Yankees have long thought to be an option for him, but they are now being considered a "longshot" for him. Additionally, one of the Padres NL West rivals remains "very much in" on Snell. The hope is that Snell doesn't land within the division.
Manager Mike Shildt still doesn't have the starting rotation figured out, and may not until after camp. And reliever Robert Suarez is open to doing whatever the team needs him to this season.
