New York Mets vs. Pittsburgh Pirates How To Watch, Listen, Stream

The New York Mets continue their homestand at Citi Field as the Pittsburgh Pirates come to Queens to start a series on Monday.

The New York Mets continue their six-game homestand on Monday as they host the Pittsburgh Pirates at Citi Field.

The Mets (7-8) are in the midst of an uptick in play. They won two out of three against the Kansas City Royals this weekend, and the Mets have now won each of their last three series and are 7-3 in their last 10 games. New York started 0-5.

Each of New York’s first five series have been against teams that currently have winning records. The Pirates (11-5) will be the sixth.

Mets first baseman Pete Alonso is on a power surge right now, as he enters the week with the team lead in home runs with six and has pushed his batting average to .270. His 10 RBI would lead the team if not for outfielder Brandon Nimmo, who has 12 RBI.

Infielder Brett Baty is the only qualifying Met with a batting average above .300 at .315.

The Mets are making do without starting pitcher Kodai Senga, who is now on the 60-day injured list. While there isn’t a single New York pitcher with more than a win, Luis Severino (3.00) and Jose Quintana (3.45) have solid qualifying ERAs. Closer Edwin Díaz has converted all three of his save opportunities.

Here is the preview for the game, with probable pitchers, how to watch, listen and more.
