Real estate project named for iconic Braves slugger coming to The Battery Atlanta
The Atlanta Braves and their mixed-use development area adjacent to Truist Park, The Battery Atlanta, has become the gold standard for new and existing ballpark areas across the country. With over two million square feet of shops and retail space, hotels and apartments, and restaurants, it's the dream destination for any Braves fan, whether there's a game that day or not.
And it's about to become even better.
Atlanta Business Chronicle reports there is a new mixed-use project coming to the area, called "The Henry", currently under construction. Named for legendary Braves slugger and Baseball Hall of Fame member Hank Aaron, "The Henry" is comprised of 650 apartments, 54 condos, and a 250-key hotel across two towers.
The hotels will be part of Marriott International's Autograph Collection, with several upscale amenities accompanying the hotel portion of the project. A rooftop bar and a lobby bar, a conference and banquet center, and an infinity pool are planned for the complex, which is expected to open in either late 2026 or early 2027.
The apartments and condos, expected to be completed first, will have several upscale amenities including a dog park, rooftop bar, coffee shop, flexible working spaces, and a rooftop bar and lounge that overlooks the Atlanta skyline.
Omaha, Nebraska-based Holland Basham Architects has been awarded the project, which has already broken ground.
