Angels vs. Brewers: How to Watch, Predictions, And More
Griffin Canning, Patrick Sandoval, Reid Detmers and Tyler Anderson can finish spring training with whatever earned-run average they wish. As long as their arms are attached to their shoulders, they will have a place in the starting rotation to begin the regular season.
The task is not as straightforward for Zach Plesac. The 29-year-old signed a major league contract with the Angels in January with no expectation of a place in the rotation. He'll have to compete with Chase Silseth, Jose Suarez and others to break through, and his quest begins today.
Plesac will start for the Angels against the Milwaukee Brewers at Tempe Diablo Stadium, his first appearance of the exhibition season. Here is the Angels' full lineup:
Former Angels pitcher Janson Junk will start for the Brewers.
How to Watch
The game will be aired locally on Bally Sports West at 12:10 p.m. PT. Bally Sports Wisconsin has the visitors' feed for the Brewers; both feeds will be available via MLB.tv.
KLAA (830-AM) and WKTI (94.5-FM in Milwaukee) will broadcast the game on the radio.
Predictions
Typical of a home game in Tempe, the Angels are bringing out their big guns: Taylor Ward, Nolan Schanuel, Mike Trout, Brandon Drury and Mickey Moniak offer a potential preview of the Opening Day lineup.
The Brewers have a few regulars in their lineup as well, but Cal Mitchell, Sal Frelick, Willy Adames and Brice Turang won't strike as much fear in opponents when the regular season begins, either.
The Angels will win this one, 6-4.
