The Los Angeles Angels are in Houston for a massive three-game series against the Astros that could have huge playoff implications. The Angels are currently eight games back of the Astros in the standings, but a dominant series could get them as close as five games back.

The Angels truly need all hands on deck this weekend in Houston, and they're getting a huge boost in the bullpen in the form of RHP Reynaldo Lopez.

Lopez, who was placed on the bereavement list earlier this week, has officially been activated, and will be in Houston for this pivotal three-game series. To make room on the active roster, RHP Zack Weiss was optioned back to Triple-A.

First and foremost, we hope that everything went okay with Lopez during his time on the bereavement list and we wish the best to him and his family.

It should be nice for him to be back with his teammates, and he'll hope to help them as they make a push for the postseason.

Lopez was acquired from the Chicago White Sox along with RHP Lucas Giolito ahead of the trade deadline, and he's appeared in four games with the Halos. In those four games, he's thrown five innings, and has an impressive 1.80 ERA.

Expect to see him pitch at least once this series, but maybe twice, as the Halos claw their way back into postseason contention.
