The Tiger Impact Program
The PGA Tour unveiled the top-10 of their inaugural Player Impact Program with Tiger Woods topping the list, despite not playing in a single official PGA Tour event. This of course directly conflicts with Phil Mickelson's self reporting that he had won the PIP title. Woods wasted little time obliterating Mickelson over this with one tweet and appears well on his way to a second PIP win in 2022.
In other news, Patrick Cantlay beat the strongest field you might not have been aware of at the Seminole Pro-Member on Monday. While none of the top-12 players in the world competed in last week's Honda Classic, five of the world's top-10 were at Seminole Golf Club along with a few 'A-listers' including the G.O.A.T. himself, Tom Brady.
And finally, Bryson DeChambeau extends his hiatus from the PGA Tour, withdrawing from the Arnold Palmer Invitational citing his recent injuries. However, his ex-caddie is in action this week and elevates an unsuspecting Canadian to one of the favorites this week at Bay Hill.
It's all packed into this week's episode of Up and Down.
