Mark Andrews Once Again a Top 3 Tight End in 2020
Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews had a breakout season in 2019. The 6'5 tight end hauled in 64 catches which was seventh among all tight ends, finished fifth at the position in yards, and he was the only tight end to score ten times.
But that was last year.
Fantasy football players want to know what Andrews will do this year!
As the Ravens and Lamar Jackson look to embark on another dominating season, Andrews will once again emerge as the MVP's top target. Ravens reporter Todd Karpovoich and Sports Illustrated's Bill Enright discussed what to expect from Andrews in 2020.

Kaitlin O'Toole: Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews had over 900 yards and ten touchdowns last season. Joining me now from Raven Country is Todd Karpovich and SI's fantasy and gambling analyst Bill Enright. Todd, what can the Ravens expect to see out of Andrews this season?
Todd Karpovich: Well, going into his third year, I think they expect more. Also, the Ravens traded away Hayden Hurst, so Mark Andrews and Nick Boyle, the two main guys at tight end. Of course, Andrews is Lamar Jackson's favorite target, so he is going to get a lot of opportunities to make plays this year. He led the team in receiving last year and I think he'll do it again. The one thing going to watch is Mark Andrews' health. He takes a lot of hits during the regular season. As we saw last year, he sort of broke down near the end. He wasn't a hundred percent in that playoff game against Tennessee. So Mark Andrews will get his opportunities but you got to watch how healthy he'll be through the course of the season.
Kaitlin O'Toole: Ok, very good point. Bill, I want to ask you about that. Todd's touching on his health, so that being said, is he a top-five tight end that fantasy owners want to draft the season?
Bill Enright: Right now, he's being drafted as the third tight end off the board behind Travis Kelce and George Kittle. In 2019, Andrews was 7th in catches with 64, 5th in yards, but he was the only tight end with double-digit touchdowns. Now two other tight ends had more than 7 scores in 2019. So I think if anything, Andrews his proclivity to score touchdowns is really what's making him a top 5 tight end. Otherwise, his catches and his yards alone won't get him there. So if fantasy people and fantasy managers are going to use a 3rd round draft capital on taking Lamar Jackson's favorite target, then they better hope that those touchdowns are there again in 2020, because without those touchdowns, Andrews might have a little bit of a down year. Not that he's going to be outside the top 10, but as a top 3 or top 5, he really needs those touchdowns to keep him up there.
