F1 News: Lando Norris Defends Reporter After Rude Remark - "Who Are You?"

Lando Norris jumped to reporter Mariana Becker's defence during an interview in the TV pen ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix. 

The Belgian-British driver was speaking to Becker and commended her for asking a brilliant question saying, "good question, you ask the best questions here, well done". Another journalist next to Becker butted in calling the driver "one hell of a liar". However, Norris failed to see the funny side of it and jumped to Becker's defence. 

Norris responded: "I'm not... woah." Then snubbed the other journalist by saying, "who are you?"

The moment has, unsurprisingly, made it's way to social media. A fan account for the driver shared a video with the caption:

"Lando defended Mariana Becker from another rude reporter in the media pen today… no words"

One fan commented agreeing that Becker's question was worth commending. They wrote:

"That reporter needs to get a grip. Mariana asked a really good question too"

Another fan felt that the other reporter was just trying to be funny in the situation but it fell flat with the driver. They commented:

"I mean I feel like it was supposed to be a joke? Landed poorly but certainly gives off the idea that it was lighthearted"

Someone else agreed with Norris' response and that he should have stood up for Becker. They wrote:

"Great job Lando!! Stood up to that other reporter and defended the woman well!! My respect for you has risen"

Another fan was particularly outraged, writing:

"What the hell is WRONG with people?? Lando should refuse to do media with that outfit and when asked why, shame them publicly."
