Austrian GP Results: Max Verstappen Takes Pole Position For Second Sprint Race Of The 2023 Season

What happened during the Austrian GP sprint shootout.

The Austrian Grand Prix hosts the second sprint race of the season. Max Verstappen will start from pole position followed by Sergio Perez and Lando Norris, who put in the second and third fastest times, respectively.

Carlos Sainz had a horrible time after he instantly encountered brake by wire issue and was only able to get out on track with 1:40 seconds remaining of SQ1. However, he turned things around and put himself on provisional pole during SQ1.

Track limits continued to be a problem throughout the session with many lap times being deleted, a trend we saw yesterday during qualifying for the Grand Prix on Sunday.
