UFC Nashville Results & Highlights: Cory Sandhagen Outwrestles Rob Font
Following a fantastic UFC 291 card that took place last weekend in Salt Lake City, the UFC headed to Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Saturday, August 5 for a Fight Night card headlined by top bantamweight contenders.

The night’s main event was supposed to see Umar Nurmagomedov put his unbeaten record on the line against Cory Sandhagen, however Nurmagomedov unfortunately injured his shoulder during training and was forced to pull out. The UFC's #4-ranked bantamweight instead met Rob Font in a 140-pound catchweight bout, and although it wasn't the most exciting performance in the world Sandhagen won a comfortable unanimous decision by relying on his wrestling.
The co-main event was a huge matchup for the strawweight division, with former champion Jéssica Andrade trying to snap a two-fight skid when she met the undefeated Tatiana Suarez. The fight was a significant step up in competition for Suarez after she returned earlier this year from a lengthy injury layoff, but the American scored the biggest win of her career when she finished Andrade with a guillotine choke in the second round.

The main card also saw Dustin Jacoby and Diego Lopes score huge wins in the first round, and although the night's prelims weren't heavy on finishes those matchups did provide some high-paced action for the fans in Nashville.
