UFC CEO Dana White Reveals 3 Blockbuster Fights for 2024 Schedule
UFC CEO Dana White has revealed three big name bouts for the UFC 's 2024 schedule. White made the announcement in a post on social media, also including three bouts from UFC 300.
Paulo Costa vs. Robert Whittaker at UFC 298
First of all, Paulo Costa will face Robert Whittaker in a middleweight bout at UFC 298 on February 17. It should be a three-round bout and should feature on the main card.
"Borrachinha" had to pull out of his scheduled fight against Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 295 due to an infection in his elbow. Now, he'll be looking to rebuild his stock against former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker.
"The Reaper" is coming off of a loss to current title challenger Dricus Du Plessis, and will be looking to prove that he can still hang with the best against Costa.
Yair Rodriguez vs. Brian Ortega 2 at UFC Mexico
Yair Rodriguez and Brian Ortega will have their rematch in Mexico City on February 24. Their first fight was extremely anticlimactic, with Ortega suffering a shoulder injury in the first round.
The fight is a five-round co-main event, beneath Brandon Moreno vs. Amir Albazi.
Both fighters are former featherweight title contenders, and depending on the outcome of Alexander Volkanovski vs. Ilia Topuria at UFC 298, the winner could secure another shot at the belt.
Erin Blanchfield vs. Manon Fiorot at UFC Atlantic City
Flyweight contenders Manon Fiorot and Erin Blanchfield battle it out for title contention in Atlantic City on March 30.
These two fighters are on a combined 20-fight win streak, and the winner should be fighting for the flyweight title very soon, if not directly after this fight.
Both Blanchfield and Fiorot are coming from precarious decision victories. "Cold Blooded" Blanchfield edged out a unanimous decision against former title challenger Taila Santos, and Fiorot against former champion Rose Namajunas.
It all comes to a head in Atlantic City as both women look to make a statement.
