
West Virginia kicker hit below the belt on field goal block attempt
West Virginia kicker Josh Lambert wrapped up a solid season with a perfect performance in the Liberty Bowl on Monday. He was 3-3 on field goal attempts, but paid the price.
Late in the third quarter, Lambert got hit below the belt by a Texas A&M defender attempting to block a kick.

He needed a minute to compose himself.
The play drew a roughing the kicker penalty, but the Mountaineers couldn't capitalize on the fresh set of downs. Lambert kicked a 31-yard field goal just a few plays later.
WVU went on to lose the game, 45-37.
