USC Basketball: Experts Examine European Preseason Play Of Trojans' Bronny James Sub
Just like any other team in the nation, your USC Trojans will find ways to improvise when they run into roadblocks this season. Unfortunately, a huge one came out of nowhere when incoming freshman Bronny James suffered his cardiac event during a summer workout. The 6'4 guard did not travel with the team during their recent international trip and his status for this coming season remains unknown.
It was not clear as to whether or not head coach Andy Enfield was going attempt inserting Bronny James into the starting lineup before his health questions arose but now he has looked to other players in these early exhibition matches to fill his minutes.
Oziyah Sellers was given a number of opportunities during USC's summer tour to showcase his talent and fit with this new group. Sellers stands at 6'5 and can disrupt opposing players with his length while also shooting with clean form. However, he was not able to find a consistent rhythm in the playing time he got during the Trojans' three exhibition wins and 247 Sports experts Connor Morrissette and Shotgun Spratling hope to see him improve moving forward.
"Especially with James' future unknown, Oziyah Sellers needs to take a step forward. He's shown flashes that he is capable of being a reliable fourth guard, but that wasn't the case in Europe. The sharpshooter went 0 for 6 on threes and had five turnovers," said Spratling.

" Andy Enfield says Sellers practices well, but he hasn't put it together consistently in games, and that was the case in the Trojans' first two exhibitions in Greece," said Morrissette.

We are still some time away from official games starting so Sellers has time to get accustomed to the system and new offense... let's see how he responds to this early feedback!
