UCLA Women's Golf: 2023 Bruins Transfer Wins 2 Amateur Titles In July

Back to back!

Summer time is not the best time for all sports considering that many use it as their offseason... lucky for us, we've been able to enjoy our women's golf team at the University of California, Los Angeles get very busy and bring home a ton of victories.

Kate Villegas is a rising senior at UCLA and and spent her first two collegiate years at the University of California, Riverside. She displayed nothing but professionalism and excellence during her time and was named an All-Big West honoree in both of her seasons there.

However, she has had an electric summer with the Bruins so far and in the month of July, she was able to take home two titles.

This is no easy task considering the talent that Villegas had to face off against but at this point in her career, she has enough experience to know how to handle the day in and day out process of competing in such tournaments.

With the summer coming to an end now, we hope to see her continue getting her reps in and she actually took home another title on August 10 at the 27th California Women's Championship... talk about consistency!
