An intriguing front seven prospect has added the Bruins to his growing list of suitors.

Class of 2025 defensive lineman Hayden Lowe has earned an offer from UCLA football, the Oaks Christian (CA) product announced Tuesday on Twitter. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound recruit has been receiving interest from top national programs since the end of his freshman season.

Arizona, Oregon State, San Diego State, Boston College, Michigan, Utah, Pittsburgh, Washington, Syracuse, Arizona State, Texas, Cal, Alabama, Nebraska, Louisville, Notre Dame and Oklahoma are the other schools that have offered Lowe thus far.

Lowe unofficially visited USC back in February 2022. In April, he made his way to Texas.

As a freshman, Lowe racked up 55 tackles, 9.0 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, three quarterback hurries, one forced fumble and one pass deflection in 13 games. Lowe only played three games for Oaks Christian this past fall, but he still managed to finish his sophomore season with 16 tackles, 8.0 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks, seven quarterback hurries and one pass deflection.

Oaks Christian has been a reliable pipeline for UCLA in the past, producing edge rusher Cassius Marsh and running back Zach Charbonnet, among others.

Lowe has been pegged as a three-star recruit by 247Sports, Rivals and On3, but he does not have a rating from ESPN. In the 247Sports Composite, Lowe is ranked as the No. 37 linebacker in the country, the No. 43 player in California and the No. 361 overall prospect in his class.

Even though he is classified by some outlets as a linebacker, Lowe notably tagged defensive line and outside linebackers coach Ikaika Malloe in the tweet announcing his offer. Lowe will likely slot in as a defensive end at the collegiate level.

UCLA has now offered 17 prospects in the class of 2025, but Lowe is the first defensive lineman to join that group. The Bruins do not have a defensive line commit in their growing 2024 recruiting class, and although they signed two in 2023, they didn't sign any out of high school in 2022 and two of their three 2021 signees have left via the transfer portal.
