UCLA Football Denies Arizona Pregame Request Heading Into Bruins vs Wildcats Battle

This is a way to set the tone.

As the No. 20-ranked Bruins visit the 5-3 Arizona Wildcats tonight, there's already some tension regarding uniforms, as Arizona wanted to wear their white uniforms in the theme of their "white out" night, but UCLA refused.

This obviously will lead to Arizona fans wearing white while UCLA wears white, or instead wearing blue which will eliminate their "white out" night.

Logically, you'd think that the home team should be able to choose whatever uniforms they want, as that's commonplace in the SEC, for example.

In the Pac-12, however, the away team gets to choose what color they want to wear, and the home team is forced to wear opposite colors.

Expect this to likely act as extra motivation for Arizona, as it almost sounds petty by UCLA.

Kickoff is at 7:30pst. This should be a showdown. The Bruins are aiming to push farther into playoff contention, and a win against Arizona will aid them in doing so.

The fact that they denied the Wildcats' request to wear their white uniforms might just make this game even more physical. Arizona might just want to play playoff spoiler for the Bruins, especially for making their "white out" night a bust.
