UCLA Football: Highly-Regarded DL Prospect Unpacks Bruins Visit
2025 three-star defenisve lineman Trajean Odom is porjected to attened rival program, USC. Lead expert Anna Adams predicts he will choose USC as his net school. However, that's not stopping the star defensive prospect from making the rest of his rounds.
Odom, the 13th-ranked player from North Carolina, is a native of Southern California. All signs point to Odom returning to California, and he did so, ever so briefly, in his recent visits to USC and UCLA.
In a recent interview with 247 recruiting expert Brandon Huffman, Odom reflected on his visit, the UCLA campus, and the new coaching staff.
"The visits to both were great," said Odom. "For UCLA, it was more than what I expected it to be and exceeded expectations. For USC, it was what I expected but even more. I enjoyed both."
Odom also noted that he loves the addition the Bruins made this offseason on the coaching side of things.
"The new staff at both schools really stands out," said Odom. "What coach (Ikaika) Malloe and coach (Tony) Washington at UCLA have planned to elevate the team this year is great."
The Bruins will look to do big things moving forward, and grabbing Odom would be a big boost for their defensive line. The 6-foot-5 DL is the number 43rd player in his position for his class.
It's clear the ties to California are there, and the UCLA campus may be what Odom is looking for.
"The UCLA campus is really nice and the overall area is perfect, you really don't have to go anywhere because everything is right there, so I like it," said Odom.
UCLA made an offer to Odom in late February.
