2025 five-star quarterback George MacIntyre (Nashville, Tenn.) wanted defensive lineman Ethan Utley in the class; Utley committed on Thursday. Who else is MacIntyre eyeing?
Brentwood Academy quarterback George MacIntyre was Tennessee's sole focus at the position in the 2025 recruiting cycle. The Vols wanted him to be the crown jewel of their class, a leader that other prospects could gravitate toward. Since committing in January, MacIntyre has taken the lead recruiter role, calling several top prospects to join the current class on Rocky Top.
Ensworth Academy defensive lineman Ethan Utley was at the top of his wishlist. The 6-foot-4, 270-pound Nashville native had the attention of Tennessee's defensive coaches for a while, and they secured his pledge on Thursday evening. MacIntyre approved of the commitment but immediately took to social media to identify his next targets for the Tennessee Volunteers.
MacIntyre mentioned wide receivers Cameron Sparks and Radarious Jackson, two in-state targets the coaching staff has been focusing on for a while. The Vols already have a pledge from Baylor School wide receiver Joakim Dodson and have been working on several national names at the position. MacIntyre clearly wants to put together a strong receiving core to use during his time at the University of Tennessee.
