Stanford in Four-Star PG Trent Perry's Top-Six

The Stanford Cardinal is among four-star point guard Trent Perry's top-six schools.

Four-star point guard Trent Perry of Harvard Westlake in Studio City, California, has narrowed his decision from a long list of top-ranked schools down to six universities, and Stanford has made his list.

Perry said that he not only admires the Cardinal for their athleticism and versatility in the sport of basketball, but also appreciates the culture of Stanford outside of the sports environment.

"They (Stanford) are heading to the ACC," Perry said to On3. "Also, one of the first high major schools to recruit me!" Outside of basketball, the school itself can set any person up for life."

Aside from Stanford, Colorado, Gonzaga, Oregon, TCU and USC are also on his watch list. Gonzaga is the only school from his list where he has yet to take an official visit.

Vanderbilt, Saint Mary's, Loyola Marymount, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, UCLA, Minnesota, California, along with others, offered a spot to Perry, but these schools did not peak his interest.

As far as on the court, On3's Jamie Shaw wrote that "Trent Perry has a smooth feel for the game. He plays with a mental toughness, with good positional size and a well-rounded skill set. He is a smooth shooter with range off the bounce and off the catch. He has a repeatable load with a consistent release at each level."

Based in the On3 Industry Rankings, out of the 2024 cycle, the 6-foot-4, 175-pound guard is the No. 54 overall prospect, No. 8 player in the state of California and No. 8 point guard.
