Pitt Players, Coaches React to Spring Game

The Pitt Panthers evaluated their performances this spring in practices and the Blue-Gold game.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers escaped the annual Blue-Gold game fully healthy, according to head coach Pat Narduzzi, and that was all he needed to see to call it a successful scrimmage.

Under a new format that pitted offense against defense, the defense used a late 'pick 12' from safety P.J. O'Brien to emerge victorious. The Panthers were happy with the progress they made this spring and are eager to carry it over from spring to summer and fall training camp. There were strong performances on both sides that players and coaches highlighted in their postgame comments.

Hear from Narduzzi, Randy Bates, Frank Cignetti, Karter Johnson, Nahki Johnson, O'Brien and Phil Jurkovec, who spoke to media following the game at Acrisure Stadium.
