Oklahoma State’s rivalry with Oklahoma comes to a halt after Saturday, but its recent history is abundant.

Bedlam has been a staple of OSU’s seasons for more than a century, and the last 10 seasons have been filled with great matchups. OSU may only be 2-8 in its past 10 matchups with OU, but there has been no shortage of classic games in that stretch.

Ranking Oklahoma State’s Past 10 Bedlam Performances:

1. 2021 - No. 7 Oklahoma State 37 No. 10 Oklahoma 33

The obvious choice for No. 1 saw the Cowboys clinch an 11-1 regular season and a trip to the Big 12 Championship. From Brennan Presley’s kick return touchdown to Collin Oliver’s game-clinching sack, this game had everything.

Spencer Sanders outdueled OU’s Caleb Williams, as he went for 214 yards passing but also finished as OSU’s leading rusher at 93 yards. After an OU muffed punt in the fourth quarter, Jaylen Warren got OSU into the end zone for the final lead of the night.

The 2021 team narrowly missed out on a College Football Playoff selection by losing to Baylor in the Big 12 Championship but still rebounded to win the Fiesta Bowl against No. 5 Notre Dame.

2. 2014 - Oklahoma State 38 No. 20 Oklahoma 35

During one of the worst seasons in the Mike Gundy era, OSU headed to Norman at 5-6. Needing a win to keep its bowl streak alive, OSU trailed by 14 in the waning moments of the fourth quarter.

Brandon Sheperd caught a 43-yard touchdown from Mason Rudolph, who was making his second career start, to bring OSU within seven. After Bob Stoops made the mistake of punting a second time with less than a minute to go, Tyreek Hill returned it 92 yards to send the game into overtime.

After the Sooners missed a field goal on the first possession, Ben Grogan nailed a 21-yard chip shot to win Bedlam. That was the first of 12 straight wins for OSU, as they won the Cactus Bowl and began the next season 10-0.

3. 2013 - No. 17 Oklahoma 33 No. 6 Oklahoma State 24

After the Cowboys won in 2011 in Stillwater to win the Big 12 and head to the Fiesta Bowl, they had an identical scenario in 2013. Desmond Roland punched in a go-ahead touchdown with less than two minutes left.

On OU’s final possession, Justin Gilbert looked to have an interception but could not hold on. A few plays later, Blake Bell found Jalen Saunders in the end zone to give OSU a heartbreaking loss.

4. 2018 - No. 6 Oklahoma 48 Oklahoma State 47

Taylor Cornelius threw for 501 yards and three touchdowns against OU, but his last throw was just off. Cornelius found Tylan Wallace for a 24-yard touchdown on fourth-and-12 with just over a minute to go.

OSU went for two, trailing by one, but Cornelius’ pass was behind Wallace, and OSU did not convert. Despite a valiant effort, OSU could not pull off the upset against Kyler Murray and the CFP-bound Sooners.

5. 2017 - No. 5 Oklahoma 62 No. 11 Oklahoma State 52

In maybe the wildest Bedlam game ever, Baker Mayfield outdueled Rudolph to stay in the Playoff race. Rudolph had a chance to get the Cowboys a win late, but his fourth-down pass to Tyron Johnson fell incomplete to seal the Sooners’ win.

OSU looked to take a 10-0 lead early, but a catch-and-fumble recovered by OSU for a touchdown was ruled incomplete, and OSU never saw an opportunity to go up two scores again. In the high-scoring affair, the teams combined for 1,446 yards of total offense.

6. 2019 - No. 7 Oklahoma 34 No. 21 Oklahoma State 16

Dru Brown got the start in place of Sanders due to injury, and it did not go well for the Cowboys. Although it was a one-possession game at halftime, and they got within four points to begin the third quarter, the Cowboys did not have enough.

Kennedy Brooks ran for 160 yards to thwart OSU’s hopes of playing spoiler for the one-loss Sooners.

7. 2016 - No. 9 Oklahoma 38 No. 10 Oklahoma State 20

Rudolph and the Cowboys were still in the Big 12 title race in the final week, needing a win in Bedlam to take the conference. The game was tied at halftime, but the Cowboys scored only three second-half points.

Semaje Perine ran for 239 yards and a touchdown to lead OU to the Big 12 championship.

8. 2022 - Oklahoma 28 No. 22 Oklahoma State 13

This game was over in the first quarter. The Sooners jumped out to a 28-0 lead early, and the Cowboys never recovered.

Nonetheless, OSU still gave itself a chance to get within one score in the middle of the fourth quarter, but Sanders threw his fourth interception to effectively end the game.

9. 2015 - No. 3 Oklahoma 58 No. 11 Oklahoma State 23

While this game had the largest margin of defeat for OSU in the past decade, it still had a bright spot early. With Rudolph injured, JW Walsh got the start and found Jhajuan Seales for a touchdown to go up 10-7 early.

OU scored the next 28 points and eventually took a 24-point lead into halftime. Perine and Joe Mixon led OU’s rushing attack to 344 yards.

10. 2020 - No. 18 Oklahoma 41 No. 14 Oklahoma State 13

OSU’s offense never got it going in this one. Sanders and Shane Illingworth split time at quarterback as OSU went for only 246 yards.
