Starting Nebraska defensive back Malcolm Hartzog is expected to be back in action Saturday when the Huskers host Maryland, head coach Matt Rhule said after Thursday's practice.

Hartzog was injured during the second half of last weekend's loss to Michigan State game, and his return had been less than certain earlier this week.

It's less clear whether Jack linebacker Princewill Imanmielen will play Saturday. He remains in concussion protocol after missing the Michigan State game.

There's a chance that slot receiver Billy Kemp will play on offense against the Terrapins, Rhule said. Kemp was limited to fair-catching punts against Michigan State as he saw his first action since injuring an MCL in the Oct. 21 game against Northwestern.

Kemp, Ethan Nation and Emmett Johnson all have taken reps in practice this week on punt returns, Rhule said, but who will handle that duty against Maryland remains unsettled.
