Where Missouri Lands in Fifth College Football Playoff Rankings

Did the Tigers slide up or remain in the same spot after dominating Arkansas?

The fifth College Football Playoff rankings were revealed on Tuesday night.

The 10-2 Missouri Tigers moved from No. 10 to No. 9 in the AP Poll after dominating Arkansas 48-14 this past Friday, but they remained at No. 9 in the CFP rankings for the third consecutive week. The only team ahead of them that lost on rivalry weekend was then-No. 2 Ohio State, but it was to then-No. 3 Michigan in a 30-24 thriller.

At the conclusion of the regular season, Mizzou stayed at No. 9 in the CFP rankings.

Missouri is having its best season since 2014, but won't make the College Football Playoff due to their two losses and ineligibility to make the SEC Championship Game. However, the Tigers' victory over the Razorbacks all but guarantees a New Year's Six bowl game appearance.
