Kickoff and TV Info Announced for Southern Miss at Mississippi State

This is the 31st time (first game was in 1935) that these two schools will go head-to-head, as the Bulldogs narrowly lead the Golden Eagles 15-14-1.

The 4-5 (1-5 SEC) Mississippi State Bulldogs hope to keep their Bowl game chances alive ahead of Saturday's matchup against SEC rival Texas A&M. A big win against the 5-4 (3-3 SEC) Aggies could give them a big momentum boost on Nov. 18, when they host 2-7 Southern Miss.

It was announced on Monday that the inter-state battle will kickoff at 11 a.m. CT and will be broadcasted on ESPN+ and SEC Network+.

This is the 31st time (first game was in 1935) that these two schools will go head-to-head, as the Bulldogs narrowly lead the Golden Eagles 15-14-1. That being said, Mississippi State has won the previous five matchups (and seven of the last 10), with the start of the streak coming in 1989 and the most recent victory occurring in 2019.

Having the home field is generally an advantage in any sport due to the support from fans. Nevertheless, the ringing of the cowbells that echo in Davis-Wade Stadium has disrupted Southern Miss throughout the matchup's history, as 10 of Mississippi State's 15 wins were in Starkville.
