Kentucky is in the lead for a top-ten recruit in the 2025 class
Now that Coach Calipari has nearly concluded recruiting the 2024 class, aside from a few players he is looking to add, coach is now working on the 2025 class.
Kentucky has brought in incredible classes these last two seasons, and it looks like the Wildcats will do this one again in 2025, as they are in it for many of the top guys. Kentucky has had a bunch of 2025 five-star players on campus over these last few weeks, so expect Kentucky to start landing some talented players at some point in the near future.
One of the players who was recently in Lexington for a visit is five-star shooting guard/combo guard Meleek Thomas. He is ranked as the sixth-best player in the 2025 class, according to On3. The 6'4, 175-pound guard was in town in early February, and it sounds like the visit went well. On3's recruiting prediction machine gives the Wildcats the lead to land Thomas, giving Coach Calipari and Kentucky a 29.7% chance to bring him into La Familia. The next closest team is Auburn, with a 26% chance to land the talented guard.
Thomas told Nathan Breisinger of Pittsburgh Sports Now this about his recent visit to Lexington, “I’ve been watching them since a kid. You watch all the future NBA players, Booker, De’Aaron Fox, so to go in and see that history, it was a great experience and environment.”
Thomas and many other five stars in this 2025 class have a lot of interest in Kentucky, showing the Wildcats will bring in another elite class. If Kentucky is able to land Thomas, he will be another one-and-done star in Lexington.
