The Kentucky Wildcats are already rising in the KenPom ratings.

Following their 86-46 victory over the New Mexico State Aggies, Kentucky basketball has risen from No. 18 to No. 14 in KenPom.

According to the analytics website, the Wildcats currently have the No. 12 offense and No. 27 defense in the country after one game of basketball. More data will help these numbers solidify, but it's to be expected that UK has one of the better offenses in the nation with their extremely lethal backcourt of DJ Wagner, Rob Dillingham, Antonio Reeves and Reed Sheppard.

Six SEC teams rank inside the top 30 of the KenPom ratings, with Tennessee leading the way at No. 9, Alabama at No. 10, Kentucky at No. 14, and Auburn at No. 18. Mississippi State is just outside the top 30 at No. 31.

Kentucky will play Texas A&M Commerce this Friday at 7:00 pm ET. The game can be found on ESPN+.
